Get involved
Be the reason a neighbor eats well this week.
There are four ways in — pick the one that fits, and we'll take it from there.
Volunteer
Cook. Deliver. Show up.
Volunteers make soup, pack and deliver groceries, staff pay-what-you-can dinners, and help keep the resource directory current. A couple of hours makes a real difference — tell us what you'd enjoy and when you're free.
Partner with us
Grocers, restaurants & organizations.
We partner with local organizations to build a more connected safety net — and with grocers and restaurants to rescue good food before it goes to waste. Food donations, collaborations, referral relationships — if you work with people in need, let's talk.
Start a Souper Sunday
Bring the soup to your town.
Souper Sunday groups are spreading across Washington, California, and Montana — and the model is simple enough for one person with one pot. The full how-to lives on the Souper Sunday site, and Chris is happy to help you get started.
"The idea was to make soup for my community for free — and that would really do something. It became obvious that people were hungry for connection, and a sense of hope."
— Chris S. Hyde, FounderCommon questions
Volunteering, answered.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No. Volunteers cook, pack and deliver groceries, and help at pay-what-you-can dinners — we'll show you everything, and even a couple of hours makes a real difference.
How do I start a Souper Sunday in my town?
The model is simple enough for one person with one pot. Grab the starter guide at soupersundayolympia.com, and founder Chris Hyde is happy to help you get going.
Can my business or organization partner with the foundation?
Yes. We partner with grocers and restaurants to rescue surplus food, and with local organizations to build a stronger safety net. Use the partner form above and we'll be in touch.
