Flagship program

Souper Sunday

Free homemade soup, for anyone who wants or needs it, without restriction. It's the program that started everything — and a movement anyone can join.

How it works

Hot soup goes out every Tuesday and Sunday. Availability is announced at 4:00 PM in the Souper Sunday Facebook group, and requests are taken until 5:30 PM. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to prove — ask, and soup finds its way to you.

What began in one Olympia kitchen in September 2023 has grown into a network of Souper Sunday groups across Washington, California, and Montana — neighbors making soup for neighbors, town by town.

The movement

Souper Sunday is a program of The Food Source Foundation, and it's also a model anyone can pick up. The full "find a group / start a group" world lives at the dedicated Souper Sunday site.
